A mutual passion for their local music scene, and the desire to capture the hearts and minds of their audience gave birth to MAMI. This Melbourne-based duo consisting of Will Gaythorpe and Adam Norris, who met at University and bonded over their expansive musical knowledge, set themselves a high bar, in their first two years as a duo playing for the likes of Torren Foot, Dirty South and London Topaz just to name a few. Since then, the duo have never looked back, performing at day festivals all around Melbourne, as well as creating an unforgettable experience at the summit of Mt Buller, becoming the first DJ’s in the world to play a mesmirising set 1800 metres above sea level during sunset. Song by song, set by set, night by night – the MAMI boys developed their signature sound, cementing their position in every dancer’s heart. An assimilation of Melodic House and Techno, integrating the euphoria of high-energy tonal melodies with the deepness of heavy Progressive House, MAMI provides a truly unique offering to Melbourne’s music scene.
