As our 30 Years of Vicious celebrations get underway, which will see over 20 of our finest previous releases remixed by the world’s best artists, we have a very special release to kick things off…
One of the planet’s hottest producers, none other than Don Diablo, has remixed our iconic Avicii and Sebastien Drums hit ‘My Feelings For You’, with both Don and Vicious pledging all profits from this remix to be donated to the Tim Bergling Foundation in memory of Avicii.
As Don Diablo stated, “[My Feelings For You] was the first Avicii record I came across twelve years ago. I have always been a fan of the original record by Cassius whom I had just remixed around that same time. So the record always held a special place in my heart, especially since both Tim and Zdar from Cassius are no longer with us. Mental Health and losing important people have always been a big part of my personal journey in this life and I know many of us struggle with the same issues on a daily basis, so I am happy to use my creativity together with the Vicious team to help the Tim Bergling Foundation in memory of Avicii to help make the world a better place, one small step at a time.”
The Dutch visionary has challenge perceptions and broken down creative boundaries with his numerous endeavours across the music, art, fashion and tech realms. Don carved a name for himself as a true pioneer of the space with the release of his GΞNΞSIS NFT – holographic 1 of 1 piece – and DΞSTINATION HΞXAGONIA – the world’s first ever full-length sci-fi inspired concert film NFT. Making history, ‘DΞSTINATION HΞXAGONIA’ sold within four minutes on esteemed crypto art platform SuperRare for 600Ξ ($1.2 million) breaking their primary sales record at the time. Since then he has been making waves in the fine art world, exhibiting his work at the Biennale in Venice, Art Dubai and Art Basel in Miami, while his latest works have been auctioned off by renowned auction house Sotheby’s.
Here, Don Diablo takes the former Beatport number 1 “My Feelings For You” into a new space with his trademark future house production. All the main elements remain from the Avicii and Sebastien Drums classic, yet with a fresh update that has Don Diablo’s production skills matched with the original’s massive hooks. We’re stoked to have Don Diablo join Vicious for this special release and to also know the proceeds are going to an amazing cause in memory of Avicii.
The 30 Years of Vicious celebrations will continue over the coming few months with remixes from the likes of Mark Knight, Joshwa, the Cube Guys, Sgt Slick, KPD, Cassimm, Hotmood, Pax, Mighty Mouse, Needs No Sleep, Super Disco Club and more!!!
