2011 – Angger Dimas teams up with Steve Aoki and Iggy Azalea with ‘Beatdown’

After a string of banging club tracks, the young kid from Indonesia was making his presence felt. Global music names such as Laidback Luke, Afrojack and Steve Aoki were supporting Angger Dimas’ club tracks and remixes, with the growing EDM sound the perfect breeding ground for Angger’s fresh beat making ideas. After signing tracks released firstly on Vicious to Steve Aoki’s Dimmak label in the USA, the two artists collaborated on ‘Beatdown’.

The song is a slow, chunky, almost electronic hip hop meets trap tune. Steve brought in the talents of a young Iggy Azalea to drop the top lines. The dope result was a killer, leftfield electronic cut that was exactly why the Be Rich offshoot was created and was released simultaneously through Vicious and Aoki’s own Dimmak label through Ultra in the USA.
