HIGHLAND MARK DICRISTO As one third of local progressive house act Highland, Mark’s experience in the music industry spans 10 years. Mark has spent this time producing and remixing for labels and artists such as Jan Johnston, Ocean Wave, Perfecto, Vapour Recordings, Vicious, and Dave Seaman’s label Audio Therapy. Mark has played at most venues around Melbourne as well as some of the biggest parties this city has seen to date such as, Welcome 2000 and 2001, Two Tribes, Gods Kitchen, Slinky, and Gatecrasher. Some of his recent club gigs and residensies include Room680, ZOS, and various smaller bars and lounges around Melbourne. As well as playing in his home town, mark has also travelled interstate and internationally playing guest spots in Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney and recently in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides DJing, Mark also performs live with his group Highland. Some of there recent gigs include playing live at Brisbane's Advent*jah festival, and to a packed centre court at the Rod Laver Arena alongside DJ’s Dave Seaman, Timo Mass, Danny Howells and Steve Lawler at Melbourne’s biggest yearly party, Two Tribes 2001 and 2002. As part of the Vapour Recordings label, Mark has recently mixed one of two CD’s for Volume 3 of the Vapourized compilation series with UK DJ Andy Jarrod mixing the other. Mark has also been involved in radio, presenting the Highland show on Melbourne’s former dance station Kiss FM. He now produces the Loaded show on Fox Fm Saturday nights for the Aus Stereo network which goes to air to 50 stations Australia wide. He is currently in the process of producing a new show ‘Crucial’ for Melbourne’s dance culture, show casing the latest tunes and dance information across Australia.
